The Filling For Your Èclairs! This morning, I found a note and a flash drive from my good acquaintance who lives next door. She sometimes brings us unbelievably delicious cookies and other baked treats. I’ve always wondered why her cupcakes and cookies have such a rich, tart, yet deep flavor, and why my parents are so obsessed with our neighbor’s goodies. In the note, she wrote that she’s testing a new recipe, so she’s recording the entire production process before sending us her signature secret ingredient the one my elderly parents adore so much. I set the flash drive aside and peeked into the freezer, where I once again saw the neatly wrapped chocolate (I’m not exactly sure, but it was brown) ingredient for the homemade éclairs my mom keeps feeding me and my fiancée. I’ve never really liked them, because in my opinion they contain too much bitter cocoa or some kind of nut powder they almost always have a strange bitter aftertaste, and the filling barely resembles real chocolate. Yet everyone around me devours those éclairs with absolute delight. “Alright,” I thought, and plugged the flash drive into my phone to sneak a quick look at the recipe for that beloved “secret filling” our neighbor makes… and then I saw the video! I didn’t say a word. I waited for my parents’ reaction. After watching it, they exchanged glances, smiled sweetly, and once again thanked our peculiar neighbor out loud the one who has been feeding us her juicy, fresh poop for several years now. O_о
